New Car!!!!

We have a new Honda Element and its name is Tangerine Dream. We like it because it is our favorite color and because it has XM. XM stands for something I really don´t know about but it is like a national radio. This car is a supreme dream. You would love it. See you at my next post.

Alan and the Magic Apple

Two years ago, one man called Alan ate a magic apple. But he did not know it was magical. When he took a bite of it out came a genie and said"You have eaten a magic apple. I have come to grant you three wishes. You must choose wisely my friend."

The next day, he said" I wish I had a house to live in. Also that I have a lot of money. I will save the rest." Guess what he did with the money? He bought a Honda. Then he sang the song "Oh I wish I was an Oscar Meyer Weiner...." but he got cut off because he said "I wish I was an Oscar Meyer Weiner" and he became one! He turned into an Oscar Meyer Hot Dog and stayed there by his car.

Later that year, Alan, the hot dog was still in that spot. A man named Carl was walking by and walking and walking and he found Alan's car. "What is this car doing here? Oh! A hot dog." He took a bite out of it and 1 minute later, he was one too! A century later, a girl named Sarah found the hot dogs and took a bite and the same thing happened but she turned into a hamburger instead. Other people came by and they turned into fries, chicken nuggets, soda, applesauce, milkshakes and apple turnovers.

And what did they turn into when you put them all together?

A Happy Meal!

Where are these people now? I don't know...they could still be there today!

BinaBubbe Time Part Two

Today we went to breakfast at the hotel. I had a bagel, a croissant, hot chocolate, a banana and we watched television. Afterwards, we went to Point Lobos and we saw the beach and while I was on a rock water splashed all over me!! It was soo cool!!!!

BinaBubbe Time Part One

On Tuesday my bubbe and I went to Monterey! It was a long drive. I was reading while bubbe was driving. Sometimes she would tell me to look up to see the cattle. We also saw the reservoir, eucalyptus trees, artichoke fields, little houses, really green grass and finally the ocean. I was guiding her to see if she was taking the right exit. When we got there we registered into the hotel. When we got settled in, the first thing I did was... swimming!!! The swimming pool goes to nine feet. At first I was scared to go into the deep end but I floated there and it wasn't so bad. There is also a spa and if you turn a dial the hot jets come on. For dinner we went to the Great Wall. It's a Chinese food restaurant. After that we bumped into the Farmers' Market and saw lots of fresh veggies. For desert I had a rootbeer float. It was a great night.

December

Happy Hanukkah
I had an excellent Hanukkah. Everyone came, incuding Aaron, Amy, mommy, Ruben, Miriam, Grandmother, Bubbe, and of course me! We ate latkes on my new plate that I made. I put applesauce on my latkes. I got to open some presents. Here is one of my cool presents. It is an iFish. When you plug your iPod into it it dances around to the music and lights up. It is funny! I also got a lot of books and gift certificates to Border's. My Aunt Margie gave me a watch kit with a watchband for every day of the week!
iFish
On the 3rd night of Hanukkah, I went with Mommy and my bubbe to shop for people at the Santa Fe House. We bought them some diapers, and toys for their Holiday presents. I also used one of my gift certificates for Border's to buy books for the kids there. The next day we delivered it to someone who took it to the Santa De House.

On Thursday, my Bubbe and I went to San Francisco.

The best part was going to Boudin's and getting a bread bowl and then going to the chocolate store in Ghiradelli Square. I also got to shop and go to the ocean.
BIna at the Beach

On Sunday, Mahima and I went to see the movie Night at the Museum. For me it was my second time because I already saw it with my Bubbe. It was so funny! Then Mahima and her brother Arnav came over and we decorated gingerbread cookies.
Hanukkah Cookies

Yesterday, my great grandmother came over. We celebrated Christmas with her. I ate potato soup and everyone else ate enchilada soup.
YUMMY Enchilada Soup!
We watched too many slides. Halfway through I went upstairs to my computer because I was getting bored! Then when I was bored of the computer, I went to watch tv!

That is what I did this holiday!
Big smiles!

Happy New Year!

Rick Recht came to town!!!

Sabi played onstage with Rick Recht!

I played on stage with Rick Recht last night. It was EXCELLENT! I got to see my friends there. I went to the concert with my mom, my bubbe and all of my friends from CBS.

Bina and Bubbe

I got to play my favorite song, Salaam. The best part of the show was rocking with Rick all night!!! After the show, we got some some songbooks. I am going to try and play them on my violin. The first song I want to learn is Ki Va Moed. I love that song from the kids CD that he made. OH!!!!! I almost forgot! My mommy bought me a T-shirt that said "Rick Recht Band." I got it autographed by 3 different people, Rick Recht, Logan and Dennis. (Logan and Dennis play in the band too!)

Waiting in line for autographs

This morning on our way to Sunday School we listened to my Bubbe's new Rick Recht CD, Tear Down the Walls. That CD is good too!

Instead of going to Sunday School for class today, we went to the Mudroom and painted plates and other things for Hanukkah. Almost everyone there went to the Rick Recht concert last night, it was cool! I hope that Rick Recht comes back to play again.

Doy Gracias

B.A.M.!

BAM!

BAM is Body and Mind. At my school we have BAM posters all over. We do BAM every day. BAM is going to the track at 7:45 or earlier and running around the track as many times as you can. You can also walk. We do it because the nurse told us to! No, not really, We do it because we want to. We If you exercise in the morning before school, it will help you concentrate. It will also make you healthy.

By the way, the posters say "BAM! Do it for the rest of your life! It helps you be healthier and to concentrate. BAM!"

I do BAM every day because my mom tells me to. I also do it because it is fun to run with my friends.

A Letter to the Principal

Today I wrote a letter to my principal about the dirty bathrooms at my school. I wrote it all by myself. My grandma help me with most of the spelling. My mom typed it up here for me. Here is my letter:

Dear Mrs. _______,
There is a problem at our school! All three girls' bathrooms are dirty! The toilet paper holder is breaking off the bathroom stall by the cafeteria. There is also graffiti in that bathroon in the last stall. Emily L. and I think that it is too much work for Rick to clean up. (the custodian)
Once I really saw three girls in 4 or 5 grade putting water in their hands and then throwing it all over the bathroom. I think that is not acceptable bajavior. Do you? Emily L and i got the idea of doing this letter because we are learning about sending letters to the mayor. You are a teeny bit like the mayor of the school. Continuing with the problem, will you please fix the toilet paper holder? Our solution is that people need to be CLEANER! Will you please remind the students at morning opening? We will volunteer to do it! Did you know that when Emily was going to the K-3 bathroom it was flooded? That is why we got the idea of doing this letter. Really, it is a lot of work for Rick the Janitor. Will you grant our request?
Hope you approve,
Sabina and Emily L.

P.S. Share this with the school please.
P.S. (again) May I scedual a appontment with you to talk about this?
